This award recognises organisations, researchers and health professionals who promote and monitor the use of antimicrobial dressings as an alternative to using antibiotics for wound infections.
With heightened awareness of antimicrobial overuse and increased resistance, antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) has become increasingly important.
This award celebrates strategies that have strived to improve antimicrobial dressing knowledge including understanding the effectiveness of each antimicrobial agent, improved antimicrobial dressing selection and shown the impact of the introduction of AMS.
